After a long week at work, I decided to treat myself to an evening of self-care. No phone, no social media, and no Pokemon Go. Just a quiet evening alone channeling my inner spa goddess. I kept thinking to myself, why in the world don’t I do this more often? I need to schedule self-care nights (or even full days!) as I schedule any other doctor or hair appointment. It’s damn important.

Thank you for your support! x Jules Hello Beauty-ful Babes – I am suuuuuper excited to share this amazing natural and organic cosmetics brand with you. Since starting my blog over two years ago, one of my most faq’s is about my skincare routine. I know many of you have skin sensitivities to ingredients like bismuth oxychloride and sodium benzoate. In general, there is a laundry list of ingredients that just shouldn’t be used on our skin, especially not regularly. Hello there, Monday! I am feeling vitally refreshed, and it probably has a lot to do with the amazing sleep I snuck in this past weekend. I slept deeeep, woke up early on Sunday, and treated myself to this antioxidant-packed (and tasty) face mask. Spending money on expensive creams with questionable ingredients is not my thing, so in my mind, why not spend money on something with multi-purpose?
Winter time is wonderful for snuggling, hot drinks, big sweaters, and the occasional snowfall. You know what winter is not so great for? Skin. Your soft, summer glow is now non-existent and you might start to feel like your hands and bottoms of your feet have aged 30 years. Re-applying lotion all day long doesn’t do a damn thing. Your skin is still left itchy and parched. Going the natural route does not always seem convenient, but we know it is the healthier, long-term solution for our bodies. Regular lotion is just a temporary fix.

Besides food being thy medicine in sickness, it is also thy medicine in skincare and bringing out your inner glow. 🙂 Here are 5 items I always have in my kitchen that will keep you healthy and healed from the inside and out:
Why didn’t I do this sooner? My hair has been so thirsty after this winter, and it’s very obvious. My ends were in dire need of some hydration and repair, so, I looked around my kitchen to see what I had. Luckily, I had 1 very ripe avocado and 1 even riper banana – Perfecto!
