All photos by Victoria Jane Photography With the rise in remote jobs, start-ups, and self-employment, a home office is absolutely where it’s at. After going rogue and leaving my 9-5 last January, I set forth on a mission to create a zen WFH space, so I could feel both productive and inspired. I’m FINALLY ready to share the new place with you! Whether you work from home sometime, part-time, or full-time, here are ways you can create a badass home office you’ll actually love to work in.
The following post is sponsored by adidas – and I honestly couldn’t be more grateful because the shoes I’m about to share with you are legit THE. BOMB. Read on, my friends. I get a lot of people asking if yoga is my only form of exercise. The answer is: nope! Yoga is hands down me in my element, but as a Libra, I like to keep it balanced. Over the past year, I started mixing in cardio and circuit training (#TeamKayla) to keep my heart healthy and to build back up my endurance that I seemed to have lost when I stopped dancing.
Photography by Forever Photo NY We are almost out of the woods, my friends! That beautiful, warm weather we’ve been anticipating is on its way – I can feel it. I am at the edge of my seat waiting for that first sign of a 70 degree and sunny forecast, so I can spend all day outside. You feel me? This time of year is when all of the excitement for summer starts to build, and people tend to get reeeally motivated to kick their workouts into high gear. Me, included.
Ah, Valentine’s Day… it’s really just another excuse to treat yourself, amiright? And if you happen to have an S.O…. well, that’s just an added bonus. Even when I was very, very single, I digged Valentine’s Day. Maybe it was because of the copious amounts of dark chocolate staring me down in the aisles or the cheesy $1 decorations I so adore at Target… Either way, I enjoy it and truly believe you can too. Regardless of your relationship status, 2/14 can be a fun opportunity to get down with your girl gang, go on a new adventure or stay in for the night. Here are some of my most favorite ideas!
Photos by Victoria Jane Photography I’m a planner, a list-maker, and you’re right to assume I make it a priority to sit down and make my list of New Year’s Resolutions… or rather my ‘Goals of 2017’. Thinking back two years, 2015 was the year of transformation – the year I made big changes in my life, which set my path into motion. 2016 has been all about the aftermath of that transformation – planting the seeds and building out the foundation. Now, this bright & shiny new year – 2017 – is firmly focused on taking action. This will be a pivotal year, I can feel it!
All photos by Victoria Jane Photography You remember how I said the winter bums me out? It’s because I feel trapped inside all season – I really love exercising and practicing yoga outdoors, but the bone-chilling windy weather usually keeps me locked in. 🙅🏻 Well, you know what, I’ve decided come 2017 I’m done hibernating. I live in New York City where it’s cold more often than it is hot, so I just need to embrace it! And part of embracing the cold is finding the right apparel that moves with you.
