Last Friday I attended the highly-anticipated FounderMade Wellness Summit hosted at Spring Studios in NYC. I was personally very excited to be invited, because so many of the speakers and attendees were people I’ve long admired. From the Founders & CEOs of companies like MindBodyGreen, Wanderlust, and Greatist to the Editor-in-Chief of Women’s Health Magazine, it was quite an explosion of empowering leaders to say the least.

Oh hey, Thursday… You totally creeped up on me. I’m feeling really high on life at the moment. I don’t mean to be that annoying overly-happy human, but it’s my blog and I share my feels. Plus, this world could use a bit more love and positivity in light of recent tragic events. Heyyy, it’s me. I’m writing this half awake, but I’m writing nonetheless! It’s been an exhausting week. Cliff Notes: I work for a jewelry brand full-time, and we’ve had a lot of events this month which required jam-packed days and some late nights. That’s my 9-5, but just like any other New Yorker, I work on a bajillion side projects outside of that (blogging is obviously one of them). There’s always something to be done, but it’s all things that I love (uuuuusually). I know June/July is going to be a crazy two months with fun blog developments underway, a trip to Florida & Ecuador, and gearing up for the launch of an ethical fashion startup I work on, so I just need to make sure I stay healthy and ON IT. Otherwise, I won’t be able to get it all done. That’s where meditation comes in…

My heart is filled with so much joy and gratitude. On Tuesday, I taught my very first official vinyasa flow yo’! It felt incredible to finally do it. As some of you may know, I completed my yoga teacher training in Nicaragua back in October. Upon returning, I was just super swamped with starting a new job, building up my blog, working on a start-up, and just trying to maintain some sort of social life (although, I didn’t do a very good job with this). It’s been seven months since my training, and I am finally able to dedicate time to teaching. We had a wonderful turn out on Tuesday, and I couldn’t have asked for a better group of strangers to be my test subjects (whether they knew it or not haha). Thank you to all who came out, and for any of my students who found their way to my blog. There is so much good to celebrate this week (HAPPY BIRTHDAY JULIA KNOLL!), so let’s see if I can narrow it down:
