Hey, we made it! Anyone else feeling completely drained this week? Could it possibly be the full moon that is creeping up on us? I feel so much productive energy lately, and it has been keeping me up at night. I woke up around 4am the other day, and I literally hopped on my computer and started writing emails. What the?! …and then I have some serious FOMO. As in, Fear Of Missing Out on SLEEP. Yarrrrgh. This girl needs to hit the hay early, but not until I go to a kick ass Full Moon Dance Party with my girlfriends tonight. Enough about my sleep patterns and more about…
Hiya, Beauties! I hope everyone is having a spectacular week so far. I’ve had a few ups and downs, but mostly ups. Lately, I’ve been practicing what I call the Art of Letting Go. If something negative comes up, I acknowledge it, and then I crush it. I literally visualize this negative energy as a ball of light, and I imagine sending it from the crown of my head, down through my throat, into to my stomach, and down and down until it reaches the tips of my toes. Once it shoots out of my toes, I crush it like a can until it disappears. This meditative visualization has helped me cope with things I just don’t need in my life.
“I am deeply fascinated with all existence and the unknown, and encourage others to cultivate daily gratitude for all the earth’s abundance.” – @MERAKILABBE, Artist Hiya there, babes! I just came home from a networking event, and I had some thoughts on the subway that I’d like to share: I’m just realizing how vital it is to network. For your own growth, it’s necessary to put yourself out there and introduce yourself to strangers. There is so much you will gain just by exchanging friendly conversation with someone you’ve never spoken to before. By hearing their story, challenges, and their dreams, it opens you up to receive insight that might inspire you and even spark a new friendship.
It’s a short week for this one! We are off work for Good Friday, and luckily we have some Good Friends rolling in to visit for the weekend. One of our friends (pictured above left) is someone I actually met during my yoga training in Nicaragua. This will be the first time seeing her since that incredible month. It will be cool to see how we both are ‘in real life’. What I mean is, in Nicaragua we were such a raw, stripped down version of ourselves. In our ‘normal’ lives, we add back in the city, day jobs, makeup, fashion, and other bits that didn’t matter one damn bit in Nica.
Hi, Beauties! I hope everyone is enjoying the week so far. It’s been rainy here in NY, but we’re making it work. To be completely real with you, this week has had its ups and downs. THE UPs: I met with one really incredible chick who I’ve been inspired by for a couple years. It made my week! We have something fun in the works for all of you, and I’m just so so so excited to share it. Also, my family is coming in town this weekend, and we have some more dear friends visiting next weekend. Can’t wait. THE DOWNs: My boyfriend’s best friend is fighting cancer again. He’s handled this extremely difficult circumstance incredibly well and is inspiring many along the way. Take a moment to watch his video and hear his story. #ColtonsCure – You can help by donating to firstname.lastname@example.org via Paypal.
Happy #ThingsILoveThursday! I hope everyone has enjoyed their week so far! It is flying by for me, but I am definitely looking forward to the weekend. I’m going to practice riding my bike from my apartment to my job to prepare for summer bike commutes. Gotta cross that Brooklyn Bridge! Also, my lovely friend Mel (blogger behind Headstands and Heels) and I might be dragging our boyfriends to an aerial yoga class, which will be sure to provide optimal entertainment. 🙂 Alright, enough about that… and more about this:
